Brief description of innovator as provided in online survey: Kay has been presenting some very interesting youth development programs that focus on making cultural objects with native youth, such as spears, etc. The elders have closely inspected her work and curriculum and have blessed it as a great way to instill culture in today native youth. |

Brief description of innovator as provided in online survey: Steve teaches GIS/GPS classes throughout Alaska. His greatest impact is teaching GIS/GPS classes to Alaskan Natives, who are marking historical sites in their villages, such as buildings and cemeteries. They are also measuring the impact of the lack of sea ice and the erosion it is causing. The Corp of Engineers have relocated 4 villages in Alaska because of erosion. |
