His greatest impact is teaching GIS/GPS classes to Alaskan Natives, who are marking historical sites in their villages, such as buildings and cemeteries. They are also measuring the impact of the lack of sea ice and the erosion it is causing. The Corp of Engineers have relocated 4 villages in Alaska because of erosion.
