Ohio State Online launched a new registration system for noncredit certificates and professional learning on July 1st, 2025. This centralized system has replaced Canvas Catalog, which was previously managed at the college level.
Key Things to Know:
- Instructors can continue to log in and access their Canvas courses at https://scarlet.instructure.com/login/canvas.
- Learners who enrolled in courses through Canvas Catalog prior to July 1 will not lose access. They will also be able to log in at https://scarlet.instructure.com/login/canvas, or by using the direct link provided in their enrollment confirmation email.
- The new, centralized registration system is being managed by Ohio State Online's Professional and Continuing Education team.
The process and guidance for offering Extension programming online moving forward is currently being updated and will appear in Spark when it is available.
In the meantime, for questions about offering a course in Canvas for Continuing Education (formerly ScarletCanvas):
